Train for an in-demand healthcare career through this 20-week Medical Assistant training program.

This program combines online learning, hands-on clinical labs, externship support and job readiness coursework to help coursework to help participants build real-world skills and transition into full-time employment.

What to Expect

    • Complete an online unit per week. (12-15 clock hours)
    • Attend hands-on clinical labs every other Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • Attend virtual educational support classes every Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00-8:00 pm
    • Prepare for and take the national certification exam
    • Receive externship placement and job placement assistance
    • Receive support with workforce system enrollment and eligibility pathways
    • No out-of-pocket costs
    • One-on-one support from a Goodwill Success Coach, with 12 hours of in-person job readiness training

Who is Eligible?

  • 18+
  • No advanced degrees received in the US
  • Ability to attend hybrid training schedule
  • Access to a laptop or tablet

Documentation Requirements:

  • Immunization records
  • Proof of education (HS diploma or GED)
  • No criminal background
  • Dallas County Resident

Dallas County Residency Requirement

To qualify for services, applicants must verify Dallas County residency and provide one of the following valid, unexpired documents:

  • REAL ID
  • Passport
  • Birth Certificate
  • DHS-issued documentation (e.g., Permanent Resident Card (I-551), Employment
  • Authorization Document, refugee/asylee documentation)
  • Native American tribal document (federally recognized tribe)
